- On the fly fishing side, Africa First uses world class destinations in throughout Southern Africa. We are proud to introduce clients to our indigenous yellow fish species. Often mistaken as a carp species, these yellows as we call them in South Africa are game fish at its best, targeting them on sight with dry flies is not uncommon. Out of the nine species found in South Africa, the two most common species are the Smallmouth and Largemouth yellow fish.
